Robert Ling is a free-lance fine art photographer, specializing in black and white. In his youth hespent five years studying drawing, watercolor painting, and sculpture full-time in Shanghai, China under Prof. C. R. Chang (who was a pupil of the French sculptor Bourdelle).

He came the U.S. in the early 80's and continued his artistic education at the Germain School ofPhotography and the Parsons School of Design in New York City. He holds both Bachelors and Masters degrees of Fine Arts.

He has taught large format camera classes for many years at the New York School of Social Research in Manhattan. He has held many exhibitions, mainly in the New York area, and runs his own mini-gallery in Greenwich Village, New York City.
